Le Clos de la Tuilière is in the middle
of this small but charming hamlet of the Grand Tuilière. This is an old farm
dating back to the 17th century, that is made of stones and
rocks from the Drôme area. It once functioned as stables
for the King in the times of Madam de Sévigné, and later as a
mail way-station. Le Clos de la Touilière welcomes you to
stay in our friendly and hospitable ancient stone home, with
comfortable and spacious rooms, and daily housekeeping. Each
room is uniquely decorated, with modern baths that have either a
shower or bathtub and separate water closet. Views of the
beautiful landscapes of the Provençal Drome region in Rhone-Alps
awaits you. Enjoy the pool, or play golf at two different
courses, go horseback riding or hike this ultra scenic area.
In the morning after a hearty breakfast with homemade jams, your
hostesses Annick and Kitty will gladly help you organize your
program for the day. The region is rich in points of
interest, and activities suitable for everyone to enjoy.
You're just steps away from the
Castle of Grignan, in the midst of vineyards, the hills of
Tricastin or the fields of lavender. This is a very
beautiful area of France.
Amongst those activities are visiting Montelimar, Suze-la-Rousee
or the famous University of Wine [Université du Vin].
Discover each of these petit and charming villages, La Garde
Adhemar, Poët-Laval, or visit the Truffle Museum, the
Protetantism Museum.
Dieulefit and Cliousclat
pottery are made here, or be sure and visit the Truffle Market
and/or the Market of Provence on the wine route.
In the evening, we will prepare a wonderful dinner for you, from
the finest local products in the region, and to your delight,
the chef will create a meal with an exotic flair.
Reservation for dinner is arranged ahead of time, and we'll then
serve you either on the protected terrace in case of wind or
inclement weather, or the dining room with a cozy fireplace. If you appreciate fine wine, then you will be pleasantly
surprised with the fine selection of wines from this region.
We hope that you will enjoy a memorable stay in the heart of the
very beautiful and activity filled Provençal Drome.
