La Maison de Frene is located in the very heart of the historic district of Vence, and a superb and typical provençal guest house that
 was built towards the end of the 18th century.  In giving the utmost attention to the renovation of the house, we preserved the original 
 architecture and style typical to this era.  The house has been used as a small boutique hotel this past century.

 La Maison du Frene is an Art Boutique Hotel located in front of the Chateau de Villeneuve [Modern Art Museum], in the heart of the
 historic district of St. Paul de Vence.  This delightful guest house offers the most charming accommodations, with all the modern
 conveniences.  Particular care has been given to each of our four suites, from the fabrics to the colors and furniture selections, that
 offer you the ultimate in luxury and comfort.  Each suite is unique and welcoming and the baths are spacious and elegantly decorated
 with all the amenities.

 The reception area abounds with authentic sculptures and modern paintings, and is a work of art in color itself, setting the perfect
 ambiance to display these magnificent works of art to their fullest.  The comfortable living room area invites you to quiet and peaceful
 moments to leaf through the selection of books in our comprehensive library. The reception area is connected to a fully equipped and
 modern kitchen where you will be served a delicious homemade breakfast [or will serve you breakfast in the lounge].  Upon prior
 request [order the day before], we can prepare a tasteful 'nicois' dinner for you, which is served in the dining room.  We're open all year,
 [no smoking...please].  Small business meetings for up to six persons can be arranged.

 We are a part of this quaint artists village that charms one and all, so reminiscent of another era.  Vence is one of the most well known
 artists villages in France.  Just knowing that great artists such as Matisse, Chagall, Dufy, Soutine, César and more that once lived and
 worked here, creating their works of art here in Vence is remarkable.  Stroll around our village and be sure and visit the art museums.
